Bato
Bato is 8 years old. His father is a street sweeper. He should be in Grade 3 but is reading at a Grade 1 level. After 48 sessions in Bahay Turo, he scored benchmark on Correct Letter Sounds, Words Read Correctly, and Word Reading Fluency. Moving forward, he will focus on Oral Reading Fluency. Bato hopes to be a pilot in the future.

Jeng Jeng
Jeng Jeng is 12 years old. She should be in Grade 6 but is reading at a Grade 3 level. After 26 sessions in Bahay Turo, Jeng Jeng tested benchmark on correct letter sounds and words read correctly. However, she needs intensive work on both word reading fluency and oral reading fluency. When she grows up, Jeng Jeng hopes to be a teacher.

Darren
Darren is 13 years old in Grade 5, and is an excellent student. While his grades may not be the highest, his exceptional work ethic sets him apart.
